I had a wonderful day yesterday performing at Jody and Matt’s wedding at Dovecliff Hall Hotel, Burton upon Trent, Staffordshire. The weather was kind, and it turned into a lovely evening, which enabled their family and friends to make use of the lovely landscaped grounds and gardens around the property.
Dovecliff Hall Hotel is an elegant Georgian House set in the picturesque Staffordshire countryside. Easily accessible from Derby and Lichfield, it is the perfect country wedding retreat and will allow your guests close access to visit many of the local attractions the day after your wedding.
The summer evening enabled me to entertain their family and friends with magic and mind reading routines both closeup at tables, but also outside on the terrace, performing for a larger group with lots of audience participation. We had a great time, and I met some lovely people which made the evening really fun!
I don’t write reviews or recommend all of the venues that I perform at, and this blog post is not affiliated with the hotel, however, I’m often asked for advice on wedding venues, and after being so impressed with the venue and staff at Dovecliff, I wanted to make sure that if anyone was thinking of holding their wedding reception in the Tamworth, Lichfield, Derby, or Burton upon Trent area, then they must call and make an appointment to view this venue.
At the time of writing the hotel can accommodate around 100 wedding breakfast guests and around 135 for the evening reception. Dovecliff Hall Hotel have a detailed wedding website that contains links to their wedding information pack and dates for open days. They also allow exclusive booking of the venue and hotel, details of which can be found on their website below.
